Johnny Cash Signs His First Record For His Brother-In-Law
One of the rarest, most unusual and historical items we’ve ever come across in 40 years of Cash collecting. We are proud to offer an original 1955 issue Sun 221 45 RPM with “Cry! Cry! Cry!” and “Hey Porter”. What makes this likely the most unique one in the world is that the young Johnny Cash, experiencing stardom for the very first time, gave his promotional copy of the record to Ray Liberto, brother of Cash’s wife Vivian and inscribed it “To Ray (scribble) Love, Johnny”. This 45 is actually one of a handful given to Cash by Sam Phillips when the record was first released. No other surviving copies owned by Johnny Cash are known to exist and the connection here is very, very special. Ray Liberto, who recently passed away, was a Texas-based musician himself who remained friendly with Johnny after the split with Vivian. The two men admired each other greatly and this was one of Ray’s prized possessions. A true museum- quality treasure. Accompanied by our Certificate of Authenticity.

Johnny Cash Lists His Favorite Songs in His Own Hand
Certainly one of the most important and significant pieces of Johnny Cash memorabilia we've ever offered! On his own stationery and in his own hand, Johnny Cash writes down his "Favorite Song of Cash & House of Cash JC Compositions." (House of Cash and Song of Cash were his publishing companies). Cash lists the favorites in two separate columns: Greatest Hits and Gospel. Under Greatest Hits, he lists: "Delia's Gone, Ragged Old Flag, San Quentin, Water from the Wells (of Home), What Is Truth, Big River, Folsom Prison (Blues), I Walk the Line, Give My Love to Rose, Come In Stranger, Cry Cry Cry, Get Rhythm, Hey Porter, Home of the Blues, Mean Eyed Cat, Rock & Roll Ruby, So Doggone Lonesome, Train of Love”. Under Gospel he lists Half a Mile a Day, I See Me as Trees Walking, Over the Next Hill, The Preacher Said (Jesus Said), What is Truth, Wings in the Morning, What Is Man, When He Comes, Matthew 24, My Children Walk in Truth, One of these Days ... paul¯.? This list represents most of Cash’s most famous compositions; to be able to have these titles, written in his own hand and chosen as his favorites is almost beyond belief. The ultimate Cash handwritten document! In nice condition.

Large and Spectacular Million Dollar Quartet Hand-Signed Photo
A magnificent 16” x 20” photograph hand-signed by Johnny Cash, Carl Perkins and Jerry Lee Lewis. This photograph, depicting Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis and Carl Perkins has been dubbed "the birth of Rock & Roll." The image was captured in the Sun Recording Studios in Memphis, TN on December 4, 1956. The historical significance and importance of this scene cannot be overstated!
This photograph was signed by Johnny Cash, Carl Perkins and Jerry Lee Lewis in an exclusive arrangement with Bill Miller's Odyssey Group in the fall of 1996. Miller arranged for Cash, Perkins and Lewis to sign the photos in a color of ink representing their illustrious careers: Johnny Cash, in black for "Man In Black," Carl Perkins in blue for "Blue Suede Shoes," and Jerry Lee Lewis in red for "Great Balls of Fire." Signed photos of the legendary group are notoriously rare and this is a fine example. This is the first time ever that a 16 x 20 image signed by Cash, Perkins and Lewis has been offered for sale. Only 10 16 x 20's were signed and all are in private collections. A very rare piece of Rock & Roll history!

Anchored in Love Hand-Signed by John Carter Cash
The only son of country legends Johnny Cash and June Carter Cash pens a heartfelt narrative of his mother's life that nicely combines biography, autobiography and inspirational guidebook into a fitting tribute to a woman whose life and career embodied modern country music. Musician and producer Cash spends the first half of his book reviewing his mom's early days performing with the legendary Carter Family in 1939, and her later marriage to Johnny Cash. Cash dutifully cites, while adding some fascinating stories, such as a possible more-than-flirtation with the young Elvis Presley and various aspects of Johnny and June's courtship that he feels the film Walk the Line lacked. But the book really begins to soar in its second half. Cash unflinchingly details the addictions that beset himself and many of his sisters—as well as June and Johnny's addictions late in their lives—while lovingly showing how throughout this time, and until her death in 2003, June's unshakable religious faith infused her life and helped inspire her children to continue the legacy of her family's music and its strong work ethic.
