Johnny Cash's first film Door to Door Maniac, originally released as Five Minutes to Live features The Man In Black as a career criminal who kidnaps the local banker's wife for ransom. A very surprising twist makes this a fun and entertaining film. Another early piece of cinematic history is the western featurette, The Night Rider which is a fashioned after the Cash hit Don't Take Your Guns to Town. Finally, one of Johnny's finest performances ever is featured in the made-for-TV film The Pride of Jesse Hallam which features Johnny as an illiterate man who's been able to keep his secret from his family---until he is forced to move to the city to seek medical help for his daughter.
